Taylor
Great for BD1. This franchise just consistently keeps proving people wrong.
fmpro
60% drop is never good but in this case its more than acceptable. For BD1 that is. Just horrible for muppets
lab276
Really crappy for The Muppets.

lab276
You know, I don't think this year will even clear 1.3b admissions, the way it's currently going.
rockNrollaDIM
What happened to The Muppets?! Thought it would have great WOM.
spizzer
Nice, BD1 is hitting my high end predictions (based on Friday) It continues to build some solid separation from New Moon's holds as well as daily figures Looks to be on pace for 286.4m coming off that weekend
XenoZodiac
My "early" prediction at BOM about BD1 was $280-310M, ending most likely in the lower end.
fmpro
What happened to The Muppets?! Thought it would have great WOM.It has great WOM.Th only reason is that its must have been frontloaded due to great promotion towards OW

fmpro
True...But thats a good thing.. especially for Summit...They know they are getting 700 mill and they just have to spend as little money as they can.Homemarket is a goldmine too
kayumanggi
That's really good for TTS: BD l. It seems it's not a battle for number one at all.
rcalcagn
When marketing and the reviews aren't to blame, that only really leaves the audience. Maybe it just wasn't a good idea to come out the same weekend as two other well-reviewed family movies. But a 63% drop?? That's just...depressing as hell. Ariadne
Based on a $17m weekend, if BD1 only makes as much from now on as NM did it will make $288.65m. This is the absolute minimum IMO.Over the last week (Mon-Sun), BD1 would have made $26.55m. NM made $24.41m over the same timeframe, so BD1 gained 8.8% on it.If BD1 continues to gain 8.8% on NM it will finish at $292.2m.
fmpro
And many were surprised.I expected a sup 50% drop for muppets after sundays number... Like many others...That would have made this weekend a close call...But something went wrong
