rockNrollaDIM
Thanks Coolio. TV noms blah as usual. Kerry Washington and Jessica Lange in over Emilia Clarke? Blegh. Comedy categories for all TV awards are such a joke. How many times can they nominate Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey for that shitty show? baumer
Emily Watson not being nominated for The Book Thief is a crying shame.

Ezen Baklattan
Daniel Bruhl! Dallas Buyers Club being nominated for Ensemble is another surprise. Redford's snub, though.... If SAG/AFTRA had Supporting Categories for TV series Clarke may have gotten in. Instead they throw leads and supportings together.
Jake Gittes
Joaquin Phoenix you could say was snubbed as well, provided SAG has seen Her.
CoolioD1
Eh, I was never expecting Her to be an actor thing. Though if Phoenix doesn't get a globe nod tomorrow that would be a bit surprising to me.
stripe
Julia Roberts and Forest Whitaker are weird options when you have great performances from Redford, Phoenix or Di Caprio and from Martindale or Spencer... Sad, really sad. Surprised with the snub for Hanks in Supp. but nothing wrong if he manages to finally stay in for one of his perfs. I would love to see Streep out of the field this year for such a divisive film, but it's pretty clear it won't happen
stripe
Apparently Redford's stuntman for All is Lost was THAT GOOD LMAO

baumer
Actor Bruce Dern, Nebraska Haven't seen in Chiwetel Ejiofor, 12 Years A Slave Expected but deserved Tom Hanks, Captain Phillips Good to see him here, hope he wins, or MM Matthew McConaughey, Dallas Buyers Club Hope he wins or Hanks win Forest Whitaker, Lee Daniels' The Butler, not disappointed but I think there are other noms more worthy. Like Redford Actress Cate Blanchett, Blue Jasmine HSI Sandra Bullock, Gravity Yes, very good Judi Dench, Philomena, good but no deserving imo Meryl Streep, August: Osage County, haven't seen it but i hate the trailer, Halle Berry should have been nominated for the Call. Emma Thompson, Saving Mr. Banks HSI, but her oscar pedigree speaks for itself. Supporting Actor Barkhad Abdi, Captain Phillips: YES!! They got this one right Daniel Bruhl, Rush, very deserving as well Michael Fassbender, 12 Years A Slave, sure I guess James Gandolfini, Enough Said, sure i guess Jared Leto, Dallas Buyers Club, very deserving, hope it's a two man race between he and Abdi Supporting Actress Jennifer Lawrence, American Hustle HSI Lupita Nyong'o, 12 Years A Slave, very deserving Julia Roberts, August: Osage County haven't seen it but i hate the trailer June Squibb, Nebraska HSI Oprah Winfrey, Lee Daniels' The Butler, NO!, Just no. Emily Watson should have snagged this spot.
baumer
Once again early films get ignored. Ford in 42 and Berry and Breslin from the Call should have been nominated. Glad McConaughey was recognized for DBC but he could have been supporting as well for Mud.
Michael Gary Scott
Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawke should of got noms I swear if they dont at least get a screenplay nom at the oscars I will boycott them Edited December 11, 2013 by Michael Gary Scott

If we're talking early performances, I'd be more likely to think of Amy Siemetz, Rooney Mara, and say it with me now, James Franco.
