Despite all its major shortcomings, I kind of like Prometheus.

I watched Prometheus with people from work. None of them are regular moviegoers. The first 30 minutes was amazing, then idiot scientist #1 took off his helmet and my coworker audibly said "you have got to be kidding me". The movie was all downhill from there.

For starters people shouldn't have been expecting another Raiders or Alien. Now I don't think Indy 4 and Prometheus are great movies, but they're not the abominations some people claim them to be.
