Tuesday numbers (12/24) - DOS - 5.25, FRZ - 4.78, AH - 2.9, AM2 - 2.8, SMB - 1.92

Looking at Frozen only, it jumped from 17.3% ahead of Tangled's OD multiplier to 19.9% on Monday, and then up to 20.4% with a 4.7M Tuesday.  It'll likely come out of the upcoming weekend pacing for 325-330M.

Not here for Frozen going down 50% on Christmas day.

We'll have to see.  I see your point though. While this Christmas is very crowded (not sure what Mitty's audience will be) but on the other hand Treasure Island had Thornberry's, Santa Clause, and HP: COS to contend with.  The direct comp for Frozen is less severe.

So basically kids don't go to the movies on Christmas day but Adults do?

Last year Wreck it Ralph and Rise of the Guardians both had significant decreases on Christmas. Yogi Bear increased by 17% in 2010 and Tangled also in 2010 increased 20% (mind you this was a saturday).

So it seems heavily targeted kids films do have muted Christmas's, good chance frozen will stay flat or even decrease tomorrow.

Adult films seem to have huge increases, for example the fighter in 2010 had a 167% increase.

My predictions

Hobbit +75%

Frozen -15%

Anchorman 2 +100%

American Hustle +115%

Catching Fire +70%

Yea the numbers look fairly typical right now.  There should be some big increases tomorrow.  Some of them might not be as big as 2003 because yesterday was still cheap Tuesday in Canada and even though movies basically shut down at 6pm, it was still pretty busy during the day.
