LexJoker
Everyone's got some. I loved The Lovely Bones and it's one of my all time favorite... This thread is strangely empty... I really liked 'The Lovely Bones'. It was very artsy but I enjoyed it more that King Kong.
ChD
I know cinemascore doesn't mean shit, but what on Earth were people expecting from Wolf? The marketing makes pretty plain what it's about. PS - Ronin has a 200m budget?! People were expecting a R rated movie that had some drugs and parties. Swearing, money throwing and shit. Not a hardcore porn movie with DiCaprio. Orgies all over the movie, candles up people's asses, coke snorting through a straw and something a hooker's asshole. That's just... too far. Yeah, I have no idea why they gave Ronin such a high budget. It just allowed the film makers to go crazy and create a shitty movie. It would've been a lot better if they would've kept it a Samurai movie like The Last Samurai was instead of going into the bad realm of fantasy and shit like that.

It's gonna be a close race for #1 and Leogolas and Gimli always argued over who would kill the most orcs in battle?

baumer
cinemascore means shit when people want them to mean shit. Not really. We have been discussing this for the past few months. It came out that cinemascore is really only done at two or three theaters and the sample size they use is very small. So cinemascore doesn't and hasn't ever been a good barometer for how an audience likes or dislikes a film. Chewy
lol yea I imagine there were quite a few people walking out of Wolf disgusted. Saw it at my theater, more walkouts than usual and some pretty serious scowls in the crowd I loved it tho Edited December 26, 2013 by Chewy
The Stingray
I've never in my life witnessed someone walking out of a movie.
baumer
Maybe I saw it with a college crowd then because my theater was howling with laughter throughout and there was only one walkout, that being of a very elderly couple. When walking out I heard lots of laughter and chatter and good things about it. So maybe it really does vary from place to place.

ChD
I've never in my life witnessed someone walking out of a movie. I only saw that happening once. I think I was at the Hobbit somewhere at the beginning of January. Suddenly, in the middle of the movie, two young movie and the boy of one of them, stand up and leave in a hurry. When the movie ended there was popcorn and soda all over the floor. Explains why they leave so quickly, I guess.
Jack Nevada
When I was watching Only God Forgives the local film critic got out huffing and puffing, but ended up coming back with the most sour expression on his face. God knows I sympathized with him.
Jack Nevada
The last movie I walked out of was Frances Ha. I was getting physically ill from the quirkiness.
