Best Actress is tough. I've narrowed down my choices to 12 women (!). Great year for the category. But terrible because of how painful it is to choose.

I'm having an issue with the Supporting Actress category currently. Haven't yet seen that many movies with noteworthy supporting female performances.

I feel like, actor aside, this week has been kind of weak for acting in general. Blanchett blew everyone away for actress and the supporting categories are pretty meh. Actor is insanely difficult, though. I don't even know if I can even submit a list this year.

Oscar movies last year a weak compared to the last ones. I loved all of last years oscar movies and perfomances. Life of Pi is better than almost all of them and would have swept all awards now.

I'm very confused about this year. There are like 3-4 masterpieces and just really good movies, whereas last year was a bunch of really good movies and only like one or two masterpieces. So you could say one or the other was better as a whole.
