tong kosong
That's why is not a fair comparison. If so I'll start comparing all the movies releasing with Avatar numbers. How about maybe because those two are the most recent popular animated films ? I mean it's not like you can compare TLM with The Nut Job or Turbo But yeah, he could have found a better comparison. Maybe with other 200-250M grosser like Brave, Tangled, DM or HTTYD.

tong kosong
That's what I'm saying. The first Shrek movie can be compared too. Maybe not first Shrek because it's too old. The industry has changed way too much to be comparable. Even Blu-Ray was still in development at that time.

I am not misinformed. In fact, it only reinforces what I said. Not a fair comparison. But you know what? I love seeing fans kill each other, so I'll just let the fight keep going. Rudolf
It's also a know story, just like the lion king, the beathy and the beast. The sleeping beauty, and so on. We bought them all on dvd when I was a child, I won't buy frozen for my childeren, it's so so. Those that I mentioned are the real ones. lion king? Lion King is based on Hamlet, but similar things can be said about most movies. Frozen was a very clever adaption of a HC Anderson fairy tale. Some critics have pointed out, that very potent pictures of lion king were diretly taken out of a Japanese comic book (stolen). TLM simply looked unappealing to nonEnglish speaking people. (It made less than $130M there, where over 90% of all people live).Even second or third rated animated movies make compareable money here Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 made about $123M.
