This sort of reminds me of Frozen's second weekend when after it's Friday number it looked like it would do $28-29 million tops for the weekend but ended up with $31 million. I guess it shows never to underestimate family movies on Saturday.

Also Lone Survivor is an early winter beast. We'll see how it's legs hold up, but everyone I know who has seen it loved it. I think it could end up with over $125 million in the long run.

Anyone seen that The Thing-esque show Helix? Is it good?

I was surprised by his quality, considering it is from Syfy. I have already seen the first 3 episodes and liked it. The potential is huge. Check the thread in the TV Shows forum.

The ending is what makes the movie! It's fucking harsh though, I'll give you that.

But it's not what you would expect at all and I didn't even feel the movie was 1 hour 35 minutes,  I thought it was midway. The movie is good though and Cate is awesome, but what the fuck I didn't see that coming.

She had already hit rock bottom and she had pretty much already ruined every possible way for her to climb back up. I don't see where else you could go with it, unless you wanted to make it really dark, which I couldn't see Allen doing.
