I was surprised by his quality, considering it is from Syfy. I have already seen the first 3 episodes and liked it. The potential is huge. Check the thread in the TV Shows forum.

Just watched the 2 hour pilot. I thought it was good, but unless it surprises me I can see it running into a creative wall in a few episodes.

OK. 1 thing: Is it a lot of action? Cause if it is then I don't think I'll like it. Like if it's on some Resident Evil shit.

She had already hit rock bottom and she had pretty much already ruined every possible way for her to climb back up. I don't see where else you could go with it, unless you wanted to make it really dark, which I couldn't see Allen doing.

I was suprised she managed to hit rock bottom twice.

Is that the new show from Battlestar Galactica's Ron Moore? Then i'm not surprised by its quality.

She hit rock bottom at the start, and then at the end she got a drill so she could go down further.

It sucks we won't get further than that, cuz I would have liked to known more about her life, that's how good Cate played her character,

I think it's kind of simple to just be all "haha, bitch had it coming". She was clearly unwell, y'know, mentally. Even before she ratted out Baldwin there are glimpses of it.

Well yeah, obviously she had mental issues, but she still really fucked up her thing with Peter Sarsgaard.

I felt sympathy for her. I actually felt she deserved better than that ending (and the storyline with the Sarsgaard character didn't feel complete)

This is what I mean, you get to love her character, that you want her to have better ending, but after she again hooked up with another rich dude, you knew it was coming.

True Detective does look fantastic. That is only one of the main reasons :P
