Haha, when i saw "broken record" i thought you meant a thread for things that people keep going on and on about like Frozen's run, CF $400M, MOS sucking, Marvel vs DC, and TASM2 looking like a video game. Whoops.

How about FROZEN's 3rd, 4th, 5th etc weekend records?

Other films had larger such weekends. It's mostly notable for Frozen due to the calendar.

However, I think it's now the largest movie that didn't open at #1. Unsure how to easily check that, though.

Technically it doesn't have that record because its OW was in 1 theater. The second weekend was an expansion. Anyway, The Day After Tomorrow opened bigger and didn't open #1

I can't find it either, but Frozen is the 2nd highest opening weekend to not be #1, and looking through that list nothing is closer than 50 million from Frozen for domestic total (The Blind Side at 255 mil)

What I meant is that there is no film that has grossed more in total that didn't open at #1. I know that it's opening weekend isn't the biggest non-#1 opening, which is entirely different. And, yes, that means wide-release opening. The fact that Frozen had a limited engagement for five days doesn't change that.
