I like Craig playing Bond, but I really don't want to see him again in Bond 25.

Daniel Craig hasn’t yet decided on whether he wants to do another Bond movie. Reports in the past 24 hours have suggested that the actor, who’s starred in four 007 movies, has turned down a deal to make any more films in the series.

But separate, authoritative Bond sources have independently confirmed to BBC News that Craig hasn’t made any decision about his future as 007, and that “no decision is likely to be made for a while”.

Earlier this year MGM, which controls the rights to the 007 franchise, told investors that the series was operating on a three-to-four year cycle, which means that the next Bond film isn’t due in cinemas until late 2018 at the earliest.

Craig is already the highest paid actor to ever play Bond, netting £38 million (approximately $55 million) for his four films. MGM reportedly offered to nearly double that for Craig, laying £68 million (approximately $100 million) on the table if he would sign on for two more movies, but Craig was not interested.

“Daniel is done – pure and simple – he told top brass at MGM after Spectre,” a source told the Daily Mail. “They threw huge amounts of money at him, but it just wasn’t what he wanted. He had told people after shooting that this would be his final outing, but the film company still felt he could come around after Spectre if he was offered a money deal.”

Another source added that MGM executives finally were willing to let Craig go after growing tired of his negative attitude towards the franchise.

Craig’s Bond films have helped the struggling MGM take in $2 billion at the box office, so it’s understandable that the studio want to keep him onboard, but a knee injury sustained while filming Spectre seems to have been the nail in the coffin for Craig’s tenure as the super spy.

“With knee problems and general exhaustion, he felt it was a journey with an ending,” the source said.

He should have bailed with Skyfall. Spectre is such a crap note to go on if that's the case.

Time for new Bond then. I would love to see a much younger Bond in his 20s.

Craig needs to do one more. Does he really want the mixed reviewed Spectre to be his final Bond?

considering the last films of most of the other bonds ending on spectre doesn't look that bad.

So, what direction is the franchise going to take if Craig is out?

Reboot with new Bond? Or just continuing the franchise with new Bond? Or hiatus?

Isn't Hiddleston a bit too famous for the role, I think they'll opt for someone who is known but not famous already like Aidan Turner, Dan Stevens or James Norton

If he's in talks, why would they suddenly opt for a lesser-known actor?
