It was an enjoyable first 30 minutes or so

Yeah, DAD was fun  (I loved the fencing sequence )up until they went to Iceland; it then went into the shitter.

Invisible cars do not belong in the Bond Universe. Yes, Sci Fi is an element in the Bond Universe, but it has to pretty low key and plausible. A freaking Invisible car is not.

The late Roger Moore said it best:

"The film just went way too far out there for a Bond film. And this is coming from the first Bond in Space"...

Die Another Day is lots of fun! Fitting way to end Pierce Brosnan Bond, lots of fun, action scenes were way better than Spectre or Quantum, and I overall really liked it surprisingly. I thought Halle Berry was a great Bond girl too in it, they gave her something other than a sexy entry

When did filming start? Feels like even for Bond that's taken a while.

There were some scenes shot in Norway around the end of March, but principal photography began around the end of April.

So around 5-6 months of filming-about a month less than Casino Royale and Spectre spent shooting. I imagine the feeling of it taking a while might be to do with the whole change in directors and the turbulence at the beginning.

The important thing is that they've about 6 months from now until the release date to put everything together.

Which means we should be getting a trailer fairly soon.

Though it could be awhile yet. A decent comparable would be The Fate of the Furious. That released on April 14, 2017 and we didn't get the first teaser until December 11, 2016. I guess that would make a lot of sense too, releasing the first teaser for Bond with Star Wars in December.
