Yea I didn't want Craig to come back but four is a low amount of Bonds, he needs a better finish, and Daniel Craig is the man. This means that by the time they reboot it, most of the best Bond candidates will be too old (Ahmed, Harrington) or wayy too old (Elba, Hardy).

Competing rumors out there, including:

Broccolis/EON plan to produce BOND 25 and then sell off the rights to someone else (already being hinted at by two sources).

(To Warner Bros., Nolan/Syncopy perhaps?  I wouldn't be surprised.)

Or...

BOND 25 and 26 are being planned together for Craig, to shoot either back-to-back or one soon following the other...

I'd say the first is more likely.  The second has no precedent for happening ever in Bond history...and we know how exhausted Craig feels after shooting just one...

If you want to get a director like Nolan you better off not imposing stuff on him like casting.

That sound almost like a certainty that they will continue the current formula they have.

Others will appear by that time. With this set for 2019, the first post-Craig movie will probably come no sooner than 2022. And Craig himself didn't get his breakout Layer Cake role until two years before Casino Royale. In all likelihood the next Bond is slumming it in small parts somewhere right about now.

Oh and I still want them to cast Elba in this one as a main villain who's both intelligent and can beat Bond up. At this point it's the only way to get him into a Bond movie and give him a chance to kick ass, so why not use it to full advantage.

So, the Wonder Woman 2 announcement got me thinking.

WB previously staked out that date for an "Untitled Event Film", with an "Untitled DC Film" scheduled for November 1, 2019. Now, it wouldn't make sense for two DC films to be out around a month apart so they've evidently swapped the "event film" for November, and DC (i.e. Wondy 2) is now in December. And guess when this announcement came? The day after EON/MGM drop the B25 date.Have a feeling this is a hint that WB have the B25 rights....

DUN DUN DUN. Reported director shortlist from Deadline (no, not some tabloid)

http://deadline.com/2017/07/james-bond-director-short-list-yann-demange-denis-villenueve-david-mackenzie-1202136402/

Yann Demange, Denis Villenueve (holy crap PLEASE HAPPEN) and David MacKenzie (Hell or High Water is great, he'd be a great choice)

Just now, Ryan Reynolds said:

I was thinking last night...I bet Villenueve is someone they're considering, if they want to "vaguely continue the Mendes aesthetic" one more time with Craig.  He seems perfect and would give it class and style.

MacKenzie would be good. Villeneuve needs to get DUNE'D so i don't want that.

Would love to see this, but I don't think DUNE is coming together right now...not surprising...it's one of the hardest things to make.
