Bond is practically locked to open higher than Crap Widow

On second thoughts, there is a chance this opens lower than Black Widow.

Ita funny how I'd never watch the entire Bond Saga before a movie because there are too many but I've probably done an MCU marathon 5 times in the past few 5 years.

I'm not watching the WHOLE SAGA, but I am watching the ones that are considered to be the really good ones. Currently on Thunderball and then onto On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I haven't seen either and I'm looking forward to it.

And then yeah, I'll watch all the Craig ones too

I still haven't seen Spectre. I guess I'll finally have to sit through it

The good

- Opening tracking shot of Bond

- Train fight + Bautista

so/so

- Lea Seydoux

mediocre

- the rest

I think it will do more than 60 million $ for several reasons. First - no streaming/early access deals for this one, second - there hasn't really been any similar film in theaters recently (Marvel is not a direct competition honestly). Third - it's the fall, and people will lean more towards the theaters even with Delta variant.

Do we know how much real IMAX is in this? wanna know if it’s worth traveling a bit to see this, but if it’s like five minutes, I’ll pass

30 minutes is in IMAX. I'm actually gonna try watching this in one that'll show it in full frame (same with Dune).

The first three-fifths are solid enough. Like, if you enjoy the Bond formula it's absolutely fine. Then it gets very weird, and not for the better, to the point where some fans think the final half hour is a literal fantasy. Which would have hilarious implications for this film.

The length is such a drag, especially because the action scenes feel like they have no energy. I've never been able to rewatch it all the way through.

What with the higher prices at numerous UK cinemas and totally superfluous 3D in the US, MGM are really trying to get every penny out of this! 😂

Pretty sure the Broccoli's were adamant a few years back that they'd never use 3D as well 😂
