I’ll be honest that I have no idea where it’s going to end up. I walked out of the Chinese theater to find two dudes loudly arguing about it in the courtyard. It’s going to be divisive but REAL divisive, where people both love it and hate it; not Online divisive where everyone’s meh to varying degrees.

Everyone knows Goldfinger, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, The Spy Who Loved Me, Goldeneye and Casino Royale are the best. From Russia With Love, Tomorrow Never Dies, and Skyfall have their moments too.

With Writing on the wall, I'm convinced that the Academy pressed play and mentally replaced it with Skyfall as it played. Only way that Oscar can be explained. That entire song is a buildup to nothing, you keep on waiting for the big crescendo which it never hits.

Once Skyfall won, the Academy decided to make up for all the Bond themes that lost out before? But seriously, in a year where none of the nominees were from musicals/musically-leaning stories, they probably just picked the song from the most popular movie there.

Would be great to see NTTD get to $600 million, the only Western movie to do it this year is F9 (at $700M+) and those are big in China.

The video reviews I'm watching on YouTube all seem to praise NTTD as imperfect but really good. This may be too hard to fully parse but I think you'll see a split between Bond fans and major critics, while audiences and professional (sliding scale) bloggers will give the film consistent praise.

I still think NTTD breaks $700 million.

OK my top Ten Bond Films:

1.From Russia With Love

2. Goldfinger

3. Casino Royale

4.The Spy Who Loved me

5.On Her Majesty's Secret Service

6.Goldeneye

7.You Only Live Twice.

8. For Your Eyes Only

9.SKyfall

10.Thunderball

Now the worst:

1. A View To  A Kill...easily the worst Bond film..the others on my worst list have some redeemng qualaties but View does not.

2. Die Another Day..first third is actully decent, but after the it goes right down the tubes.

3.Moonraker

4. Quantum Of Solace

5. Diamonds are Forever.

BTW one interesting thing about No Time To Die:

Spoiler

Apparetnly the villians big weapon is biological warfare. No wonder they put it back back in 2020. A

I think this movie will probably increase on Spectre's overseas gross seeing as it's being treated like a Craig finale rather than a typical Bond, not to mentioned Spectre didn't have good WOM. General consensus seems more positive than Spectre and given the wait I wouldn't be surprised to see it make $150m in the UK. I'd imagine it clears 100m in China given the projectory of the past films there too.

I think there's a legit shot of this breaking 900m
