If we're recasting the MI6 crew, I'd love to see a former Bond like Dalton take over for M. Also would be down to see a former Bond play a villain.

I'm up for Dalton as 'M', and I think he'd relish that...he's that good.  Would be a nice redemption for him considering his fractured history with the series.  But I'd vote No on any other previous Bonds being involved (Craig is done done done, Lazenby never really was an A-list actor, and Brosnan, well, he'd be great for Kingsman...but not Bond...it would just fuel his ego). 😂  And I'm pretty sure Broccoli/Wilson will feel the same on all of the above.

It'll almost certainly never happen but I'd love that.

Having a former Bond as a villain would be too cute by half though.

wasn't there something where sam mendes tried to drag sean connery out of retirement for the albert finney role in skyfall? would've been fun.

That would have been brilliant. Wish i never read this, now that scene will always disappoint me

Finney was initially considered for Bond before they settled on Connery, if I'm not mistaken, so that casting does still act as a neat in-joke.

Didn't know that. Honestly, I think he could've been good at it.

A 30-day theatrical window. This just confirms my belief that Warner made the right decision to commit their entire 2021 slate to a hybrid release, sacrificing part of box office to have a much needed strong growth on streaming. Theatrical exclusivity was not viable at all this year.

F9 still made around $85 million worldwide after it was available on VOD and piracy websites, so this may not kill No Time to Die's late legs.

I said it might go on PVOD after a month and someone here was like no it's grossing well enough so it will take months.

F9 did the same shit. Like 35 days. This just seems to be the new norm for Universal. Dumb move that will hurt its late legs (they seem to really be kicking in this weekend )

A worthy send off to the Daniel Craig era of James Bond. It manages to correct alot of the mistakes of Spectre such as Madeline and Bond's relationship while also doing some new things with the character that we have never seen before. An average villain and a busy 3rd act which is why I can't quite put it up there with Skyfall and Casino Royale but like Casino Royale it is one of the very few Bond films to elicit a big emotional response.

Will be there for the next James Bond but after watching all the EON Bond films I have realised I like the Bond franchise but I love the Craig era.
