I do wonder how the female roles will be balanced out. You’ve got Lea, Lashana, Ana, and Naomie. Clearly this film is bypassing the typical “Bond girl” template. One of these four will get the short end of the stick. Based on the marketing, I’m guessing that’s Naomi/Moneypenny.

I also hope we get more of Felix beyond one scene of him getting Bond involved in the kidnapped scientist scenario. I wouldn’t be surprised if Felix gets the ax very early on, which would be a disservice.

I'm actually pissed that they are keeping the worst Bond Girl ever as his "true love" for no other reason but because current climate is against womanizing in movies. Madelaine is awful and needs to go. No chemsitry with Craig whatsoever. Seydoux is never going to happen in a big way in Hollywood because she looks like Will Poulter in a wig (read: sulky face 24-7)

Mary Goodnight, Stacey Sutton and Christmas Jones all say hello.

I only saw Craig era in full. I've seen bits and pieces of Halle Berry movie. Also, just because there are worse Bond Girls in history, it doesn't mean this one should stay. Also, Waltz is beyond awful as Blomfeld and it sucks that Blomfeld is such a big name so they can't chuck Waltz but his casting definitely wasn't a bingo.

If it’s any consolation, it appears that relationship implodes quickly in NTTD, and the fallout from that drives the plot.

Only for them to make up at the end I assume. But silver lining is that they may not spend much time together indeed so that is a consolation for sure. sometimes one should settle for whatever they can get and cross fingers for getting more in the future. :)

Bond treating women like shit makes perfect sense. Having him develop feelings for female love interests goes against everything a spy of that caliber would do.  They are trained to remove all emotion as the moment you fall in love, all logic and devotion to the brutal career choice you've made goes out the window. He's not meant to be nice, he will manipulate to get the information he needs to get. Casino royale's romantic plot is the only one that's ever worked for me as it felt like a reboot. It was a new bond who had flaws and wasn't as emotionally blank as he thought he was. That vulnerability ultimately led to his failure and emotional heartbreak. By the end of the movie the one lesson he learnt was to trust no-one. Having him for in love again makes no sense

Which would be a shame because I think she's great and has good chemistry with Daniel Craig. I also definitely think Ana has just the 1 sequence. It'll be a long scene, but looks like it's just that sequence with the dress. Antovolk posted the UK poster on twitter and Ana didn't even have billing on the poster, whereas the other girls did...

Bibi Dahl if she was ever the lead, maybe?

As lead, yes, but I actually though she worked as comic relief.

And she gave the Roger Moore Bond one of his best lines:

"Get dressed, and I will buy you an Ice cream",.

I've been seeing Ana de Armas get a lot of promo for someone with no cast billing on the poster or the featurette and has been described as

Spoiler

a 'cameo' (Fukunaga) and 'not [...] a huge part' (Craig). Though her name was first on the press release for the new characters.

The featurette premise as described by Fukunaga reminds me a bit of

Spoiler

The Dark Knight Rises

I think they can make Seydoux's character Swann more interesting in this one given a second chance but I do get what some feel about a lack connection. I don't know if they can fix the latter but the former is doable.

Fleming wrote Bond falling in love several times -  after Casino Royale.
