Although Daily Mail accurately leaked that Craig was the new Bond way back for Casino Royale, there's been no confirmation on this supposed "signing on" for Bond 25 by any of the trades nearly two weeks later.

Thus, I return to my mantra...

"Craig still deciding."

I would lose my shit if Nolan decided to do a Bond flick, but only if they cast a new Bond. I've liked Craig a lot, but like Batman Begins, I'd want Nolan to tackle a famous character with his own lead actor.

This is the only way Nolan would do it.  He basically said so just recently.  He wants to be allowed to put his own stamp on it.

Nolan said it would have to be a reboot. I am sure producers would ask for a trilogy. But I think its far fetched for now. I would rather have nolan direct original flicks than another franchise flick. Craig movies already had the serious intense tone and so not sure what Nolan can bring on to the table.

James Bond will return to US cinemas on November 8, 2019 with a traditional earlier release in the UK and the rest of the world. Bond 25, the next adventure in the long-running action franchise, will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, long time collaborators and writers on previous Bond films including CASINO ROYALE, QUANTUM OF SOLACE, SKYFALL and SPECTRE. The film will be produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. Additional details regarding distribution, including international release dates, the film’s cast and director, will be announced at a later date.

Can't blame Craig for going for the money, this is his best gig.

I don't know...Logan Lucky looks pretty good.  What about a franchise for that character??  :D

Someone else noted on another forum how this 007 announcement neatly coincides with the appearance and timing of Logan Lucky's reviews, opening and press tours...providing Craig ample opportunity to comment.

I would be shocked if Daniel Craig doesn't come back. They have the release date and everything which means they already have the shooting dates set up and stuff. So either Craig is coming back or they have their Bond but just aren't releasing the details of who it is yet. Either way I'm excited.

Bond. James Bond.

james bond in this is gonna be a dude in a mo cap suit they can digitally draw over because daniel craig is still gonna be deciding if he wants to be in this or not during production.

Technology is not there yet but we re getting pretty close to be able to do this I d say.

Craig is back according to NYT - 'done deal'

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/24/movies/daniel-craig-is-coming-back-as-james-bond-in-2019.html

Another rumour to ponder over - http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2017/07/25/bond-talk-after-dark-emergency-bond-25-edition

On the less official front, I have read thoughts from someone I believe to be close wth the production that the Broccolis are looking to do one more Bond then sell the franchise off, a la George Lucas/Star Wars/Disney

If this transpires, then - all the more reason for 25 to be an end-of-an-era/one last ride swan song for Craig that's hyped as such, and for Nolan to do 26
