anyone knows why skyfall had no videoclip?

IIRC, Adele had her baby the same month that they released the song, I guess she wasn't feeling up to a video shoot during late pregnancy.

"No Time to Die" sounds exactly like you'd expect from a Billie Eilish Bond song, but it's not bad.

Didn't she also have throat surgery around that time as well?

I think the song really works in advancing the Bond “sound” with a new generation of potential fans, and it’s just a good song.

In terms of marketing, NTTD is doing its job like gang busters:

“Billie Eilish’s “No Time To Die” Debuts At #1 On Global Spotify Chart, #2 On US Listing“

https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop/8551127/billie-eilish-no-time-to-die-justin-bieber-changes-best-new-release

“Billie Eilish has beaten one of her absolute favorite musicians when it comes to the music fans can't get out of their heads at the moment.

"No Time to Die," her new track for the upcoming James Bond film of the same name, has been voted the release of the week, and took in a whopping 66 percent of the vote.”

Adele had the vocal chord surgery in 2011.

Big numbers for "No Time to Die" so far, very good, these Bond songs can be nice ads for the movie.

The "modern" Bond flick, which I would start at Goldeneye, has been remarkably consistent domestically. Skyfall is the obvious outlier but when adjusted, the other seven movies are within a $40m range.

Die Another Day - $253.7 million

Tomorrow Never Dies - $250.1 million

Casino Royale - $234.1 million

The World is Not Enough - $228.8 million

GoldenEye - $224.1 million

Spectre - $217.4 million

Quantum of Solace - $214.8 million

If NTTD is solid, I see no reason why it won't finish in that 215-250 range.

Eilish just performed the song on the Brit Awards in London with Zimmer and a full orchestra. Pretty magnificent.

You can feel the hype starting to build in the U.K.  Obviously it’s going to be huge over here, but a massive hit song worldwide will do wonders to its prospects Stateside and everywhere else.
