pinocchio
In Germany, DH2 should win the year easily, followed by Pirates and Kokowäh (a local comedy like Rien a declarer):http://insidekino.de/DJahr/D2011.htm
lab276
Pretty average in Germany, only marginally better than last year. It should still end up ahead though.

pinocchio
Ah, yes, I completely overlooked Intouchables.... But I still think Rien a declarer will win ahead of Intouchables. And Tintin will destroy Pirates, too, of course...

Tesseract
Things are looking pretty good for Tintin this weekend. It is set for a good opening in India. What would you consider good in India? Is Tintin popular over there?
Fake
It was a lot more popular in the 80s and 90s (a lot of people close to my age grew up reading it). the kids nowadays don't take much interest though.I am expecting around $2m opening and $5m total. It is opening against a major Bollywood movie so that will hurt its chances.
pinocchio
France: first full week predictions from Cine-directors:http://www.cine-dire....net/boxbis.htm1.9 mio admissions for local hit Intouchables and another 800'000 for Tintin based on PP numbers. Fake
Nice. In the worst case scenario Tintin will drop 20%.
Fake
The India adventure starts for Tintin http://indiatoday.in...1/1/159425.html After taking Europe's box office by storm, the spiky-cropped, orange-haired reporter arrives at the Indian box office with his Wire Fox Terrier companion Snowy. The Adventures of Tintin - The Secret of the Unicorn directed by Steven Spielberg will be releasing all over India on Friday. Certain multiplexes are premiering the movie on Thursday on account of the local holiday in some centres in agreement with the movie's distributors in India-Sony Pictures India. "We want it to become the highest grosser in India in this genre (animation)," says Kercy Daruwala, Managing Director of Sony Pictures India. The highest grosser ever in India in this genre was Kung Fu Panda 2 which according to industry estimates collected Rs. 25 crore (gross). The highest grosser in the animation genre for Sony Pictures India was The Smurfs released in July which grossed Rs 7 crore. Daruwala expects Tintin to garner gross revenue of around Rs. 20 - 25 crore which is in sync with the industry expectations of Rs. 22 crore. The movie, which is dubbed in Hindi for the Indian market, will be screened at 370 screens throughout the country of which 60 per cent is in 3D. The number of screens is 40 per cent more than the previous biggest animation release in India - Kung Fu Panda 2. The movie opened to packed halls on Thursday morning throughout multiplexes. "What we expect from a Spielberg movie is always something special. The shows were practically a sell out. The initial feedback from the public is very good," says Rahul Singh, Vice President, Operations of PVR Cinemas.
