The Avengers music ramping up like that in the clip makes it feel like this is the first scene from the movie wtf :wintf:

I was expecting the title to pop up on the screen.

A ridiculously late title card would be hilarious, lol.

Usually the opening scenes for the Avengers films are around 10 mins before the title card appears. I just can't wait to see that title card with the Avengers music blasting over it. Kinda a shame Ultron didn't use the Avengers theme for its title card.

Why doesn't Thanos just destroy one of the stones since his plan is done?

The plan just started (or I / we missed something), nothing was fix, everything will have to be done again in 30/50 year's, must be just the beginning of a bigger plan.

That presumes people will have children at the same rate as pre-snap (see Ireland post famine) or that certain civilizations and worlds didn't have higher losses afterward b/c of how it affected security, infrastructure, science etc.

Birthrate in Ireland did raised back to be higher than in England/Scotland after the famine.

On earth at least, lot of children already exists (if he didn't targeted them more it is already in motion) that why model of growth are high regardless of birth rate the world is quite young, but yes I would imagine he didn't thought it would change much the rate (why would it ?).

I imagine the big post War 2 baby boom was not due to some WW2 direct impact, but more conjuncture that happened then, it is common for animals to reproduce more when their population take a hit, but I would imagine humans would not do the same,.

For example of a recent big population hit:

Rwanda population (raised as fast if not faster after the genocide than before):

Hard to see the 94 genocide effect  show up on a birth rate graph:

SP.DYN.CBRT.IN.png

I am unsure it require the population to growth at the same right to have nothing fix and still just pushed back, it will just take longer (if he is right) for the Humans to destroy the Earth no?,  it does nothing for it happening or not. Except if he saw in the future that the slowing down of 1-2 generation was enough for Humanity to come up with long term solution and for some reasons it was not a good idea to bring said solution has a gift to humanity right now (not ready for such power would have misused it, etc....). We have no idea what going on in is mind right and why he did any of what he do it seem.

So This needs to make at least 900m dom to be at 2018 box office levels.

No pressure, Ant Man.

The Stones seem indestructable. The Mind Stone was only able to be destroyed because Scarlet Witch's power comes from it.

Half a billion in profit for Infinity War according to Deadline

Will this make more considering fewer number of cast?

874m rental

They look to have have the US theatrical rate wrong (which they've done before).  It looks to be calculated at 55% instead of  65% -which they reported themselves .  They also have the  China and O/S-China numbers wrong - $15 less for one and $15 more for the other.  Looks like they used the silly BOM China number

Should be approx =  $954.86 so $80m off

678.8 x .65 =  441.22

996.5 x.40 =  398.612

373 x 25 = 93.25

They also have WW entertainment revenue + TV at approx $400m.  That looks to be a severe low ball just based on U.S. numbers where Streaming reportedly did significantly more than hard media and that did approx $115m according to The Numbers.

So you know Deadline a usual.

From @Carlangonz in the Mexico Thread....

"Last year, Infinity War, the previous Marvel production, reached sales of 650,000 tickets in 3 weeks of advance sale for Cinemex"

As it was reported a week ago, Endgame sold 450,000 within 12 hours and 600,000 after two days. I guess at this point it already outsold Infinity War.
