So, is Thor a new member of the Guardians of the Galaxy?

It seems they're hinting at a GOTG 3 featuring Thor.

Yes. Now I'm really really excited about his future.

Spouse and I finished our MCU movie marathon before the ENDGAME with Captain Marvel tonight and then we come home to 98% on Rotten Tomatoes after 80 plus reviews for ENDGAME.  A very good night.

Saw this in a theater that was, by my estimation, half-full.  Pretty good for a movie in its 6th week.  Clearly, there were folk like us looking to get caught up on the MCU.

Regarding the movie, my feelings haven't really changed following a re-watch.  It's a mid-tier Marvel movie, with plenty of fun moments, a few cringe-worthy scenes.

Things I liked:

-Stellar casting of all the characters, with Jude Law and Annette Benning as the standouts

-Brief glimpse of Hala

-The back and forth of the memory machine

-Throw Grandma from the train

-Sam and Brie buddy moments

-Brie and Mariah sisterly moments

-A fun character in Talos

-Muther Flerken

-Ronan and friends

-That Annette Benning shimmy

Things I didn't:

-Not enough Hala

-More potential story ideas than actual story ideas

-Can a movie be both dark and grainy and colorful at the same time??

-Some very cheesy moments with the kid

-Not enough Flerken

-Not enough...

Can I be both happy for this movies amazing box-office success and also stunned by it???

Looking forward to a much better sequel, and more importantly, to Thursday night and the ENDGAME

hmmm so exactly how I view The Avengers (2012). 1st act was great, second act dragged (bickering on ship), 3rd act was amazing.

Pretty much my thoughts as well here, though my other big complaint is that Brie just isn't charismatic enough to pull off this kind of leading blockbuster role in my opinion.

About to go in to see Endgame now, my theatre is relatively busy given it’s a work day but it’s school holidays so lots and lots of kids and parents. Most of the theatres look 50-66% full for the day so far but will probably get closer to 75% by the prime time showings - which, for this theatre is very impressive.

*triple checks I'm in the spoiler thread*

Cap using Mjolnir was so fucking epic and I know fanboys have been going on about it forever but it literally never occurred to me it would happen until it did and then it was amazingggggg.

And holy shit at the level of fanservice, but it was so damn perfect and good. I need to rewatch it for that alone.

*checks I'm in the spoiler thread again*

*hits submit*

When Tony looks at Doctor Strange and understands what he has to do ...

"I'm ......iron man"

the best scene of the MCU

I think she was let down a bit by what the screenplay required her to do and overshadowed by the other more charismatic roles.  I thought she started to find her voice in the second half, but then the movie was just over.  I think she will be much better in the sequel.

Also, how messed up is it that the girl-power scene didn't include BW?  That's cold as hell.

Did you catch that Valkyrie and Carol scene?

There was so much going on during that scene I honestly don't recall.
