My parents didn't like the ending.

Their reasoning is a soldier will never leave battlefield for family. Not particularly happy with Captain end.

They liked Thor very much.

My mother loved the last girl power fight. 💪💪👧👧

Omg Mera is in this?

Speaking of Aquaman I just got out of my second session and an annoying little kid sitting directly behind me asked if Thor was Aquaman when he first appeared. I don't know who that insults more when I think about it.

The kid in Iron Man 3 who helped Tony after his house was destroyed by the "Mandarin".

I saw the movie yesterday. Some great moments and one, giant, the most epic scene of all time! But overall, this is the worst Russo Brothers MCU film for me. Nonetheless, it was satisfactory ending of the MCU.

7+/10

Infinity War is still by far the best MCU (and all Marvel) film.

I wondered about that.

About a year ago I noticed that Ty Simpkins (the actor who plays Harley) was on the IMDB cast list for Endgame, but by the time the movie came around I'd completely forgotten about his involvement until he showed up in that scene.

Going tomorrow. Just want to know if there are mid-credit/after-credit scenes. Hearing conflicting reports.

It’s a nice touch that Tony kept in touch.

Went to an IMAX double bill of Infinity War and Endgame last night and it certainly ranks among the top 3 best theatrical experiences I've ever had. Irish audiences don't tend to cheer or clap during movies, and granted this was a screening full of die-hard MCU fans, but my crowd broke into applause about 6 times, it was unbelievable. Endgame is one of those movies whose first 2 acts boast scenes that would be the highlights of any other movie, even those in the MCU, and yet they're completely overshadowed by the genuinely awe-inspiring moments that occur in the last 30 minutes.

Thor Ragnorak

Guys, it's so late. I'm tired. So this might be shorter than I would otherwise. This is a good movie. It's funny. But I love the battle on the bridge with Thor being all God of Thundery. Gets a bit repetitive with characters repeating "Asgard is not a place, it's a people." Kinda confused on whether Thor draws his power from the people or the place cause Hela gets her power from the place? Anyways, it's a fun little adventure with some stakes that actually leads into Infinity War pretty well.

Surtur

He's the king (?) of a fire planet before he is captured by Thor into his crown? Then the crown is combined with the Eternal Flame at the end so he becomes as big as a mountain. Pretty cool effects but pretty forgettable personality. Thanos likes how strong he seems to be, flicking aside the Hulk like it was nothing, but considering how he was used by the heroes to defeat an even more threatening villain, he's not all that impressed.

giphy.gif

Grandmaster

It's Jeff Goldblum going full Jeff Goldblum which by itself makes this a glorious character. He's just so quirky, so off-beat, so....different from literally every other villain. That makes him stand out even though all he does is rule a planet and organize a fighting contest by giving prisoners jobs. He doesn't seem to have any actual powers himself though rather depending on his tyranny to get what he wants. Thanos thinks he's just another ruler brought down by a revolution....and Thanos generally doesn't mess with the politics of a planet until he decides to take it to purge the population. So really he doesn't think much of the Grandmaster especially since he loses the coup.

Hela

A villain so powerful she wasn't just banished and locked away using all of Odin's power: he had to send an elite warrior force to keep her there and she wiped most of them out by herself. She destroyed a magic hammer like it was glass, stabbed away one of Thor's eyes, wiped out most  (all?) of Asgard's security force single-handedly, raised an army of undead Asgardians, and had real potential to actually conquer a significant portion of the universe. She was a tyrant but no doubt she was a ruler. Some people think Thor Ragnorak wasted Cate Blanchett but I mean....come on, she did fine. Probably the most effective and badass villain Thanos has encountered so far. He thinks she would have been a worthy foe despite her coup attempt on her father.

Just saw it! Fantastic conclusion to 22 films, epic and emotional... but I liked Infinity War more. Also I have this need to watch it again to clear my thoughts

Finally saw this last night. It was great but I'll be honest that I was more 'on edge' for IW, probably because I didn't know how that was going to end while this one felt more... optimistic?

I feel everyone got their due, and the actors all brought their A game. I even choked up a couple of times for Tony and I almost never cry for movies.

But Thor. Thor's my favourite so on some level I mostly loved what they did with his arc but it felt weird to me that Cap seemed to have cooler moments with Thor's weapon. I get it IW was Thor's time to shine etc, but I guess I expected more after he showed out in Ragnarok/IW. Ultimately I guess that's the problem with having higher powered xters fighting with weaker ones. I like that he got closure with Frigga but they could have toned down him down a smidge.

That last act though... 👌🏽Comic book porn.

But on another note, I was reading some reactions and way too many of the people I'm seeing having issues with some plots haven't even seen it yet and that is the dumbest thing I've seen so far. Why look at written spoilers for something like this and take things out of context?
