Is this going to beat Avatar, then? Haven't really followed the box office so I've no idea how much is left in the tank...

It’s looking like $15-25m short.

Without expansion or re-release. If Disney is crazy I guess.

I say it's very much still on track, but it will be close. This next weekend will probably call it one way or the other if it manages without a re-release.

Exactly. If they leave it to Avatar a movie they had nothing to do with. Avatar 2 is far from a lock to go over the original. I would think Disney would want the title especially if they don't get another chance.

This live streaming is hilarious and amazing  at same time. Inaccurate sure, but A for the effort. :hahaha:

According to my iminaginary friend, final China gross is $857,417,201.

Equally impactful source on the real numbers (which are 629.1M)

They're not doing digital downloads via Google, Apple, Amazon etc?  Or they're just not doing other streaming like when it went to Netflix rather early?

If the first - wow.  AIW was by far their biggest digital download to the point it's BR initial sales were underwhelming.

You are correct, I was wrong.  I was sure they were waiting until Disney+ had it before letting anyone see it in any other form, but the more sure you are, the more wrong you can be.

Which uses incorrect exchange rate numbers. It shows way wrong numbers for IW too. Off by 15 million.

I'm very curious, and hopeful, about the Phase 3 Box Set of films and what gimmick they will use.

Surely the Gauntlet will house the DVDs much like the Tesseract Briefcase for Phase 1.

I've not bought any Phase 3 films so I can get them all at one time.

I'm not big on Scott Mendelson's box office analysis just like most here, but I think here is onto something here:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2019/05/29/avengers-endgame-marvel-aladdin-avatar-rocketman-godzilla-xmen-star-wars-disney-box-office/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

With Godzilla underperforming hard overseas, I'm banking on my projection that Endgame won't be as affected by the new releases as most people think. It's a perspective thing to think that IW had it harder last June than Endgame. I agree with Mendelson's take that it's very much on track to top Avatar.

The irony here is Avatar got an extra 10.7M (at least domestically) from its re-release.  And if it's that close, Disney should rerelease it as a double feature with Infinity War over Labor Day Weekend.
