riczhang
first of all, i will note the three directors on seven points who didn't make the top 100 due to a tiebreaker: 101. michelangelo antonioni (blow-up, l'avventura) 102. luchino visconti (the leopard, death in venice) 103. spike jonze (being john malkovich, her) WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! All three were on my list....... Especially Visconti. Il Gattopardo is an absolute masterpiece.

The Panda
Yes he is. Objectively, no he Stallone isn't. A film being entertaining =/= A well made film that took talent, skill, and dedication to make. I can be entertained by I, Frankenstein, that in no way makes I, Frankenstein good. Jake Gittes
Il Gattopardo is great. I probably should've put Visconti at least at the bottom of my list, but quickly forgot about him since I haven't seen anything else from him.

I just hope when I wake up there aren't a dozen pages of... what's the polite word I'm looking for... discussion about the subjectivity/objectivity of watching movies.

He's directed some outstanding movies and Rocky II and Rocky Balboa are miles better than anything Jonze has done. MILES.
