The Disaster Artist - Movie about making of "The Room" | Dec 8 2017

Just came back from seeing this film.

 

James Franco is terrific. He chews the scenery, and he steals every scene he is in. The writing is equally just as great. It is easy to tell that there is a lot of passion behind this film.

 

It felt a bit arid. You can tell how easy it was to film this- Franco is a better actor than director, and some scenes and moments come off as a little dry. But the performances and the great script are the keys that elevate the film past its flaws.

 

In my opinion, it wasn't mind-blowing by any means. But it's a nice little movie. It's definitely worth a watch while it's still in theaters.

The Blu Ray works everywhere, however I Fucked My Roomate with Sabrina J is a personal fave of mine.

Gary Oldman is winning. But I can't wait to see Tommy Wiseau attend. He totally deserves it.
