Huge Saturday for Maleficent, falling less than 5% from last Sat!!! 204k admissions in 3 days (Thu-Sat), it passes 650k admissions in total. It will be way over $4m by tomorrow night. It's almost doing on par with Rio 2 without the Easter holidays bump!!! Impressive!!!

Maleficent already passed CA:TWS to became the 3rd movie for 2014. It did the best second week for 2014, and the best part is that it had no even 1 holiday yet, just the weekends and normal working weekdays . Amazing!!

The World Cup Opening Ceremony hit the Box Office. Only 33k admissions were sold yesterday (half of a normal Thursday), almost half of them went to Maleficent.

3- Blended, 3055 adm, -41%. Cume: 82834 adm

4- A Haunted House 2, 2584 adm, new. Not a clever decision to release a movie yesterday...

Today and on Saturday the box office is going to do better, but on Sunday Argentina is playing at 7 PM so theaters will be empty...

Maleficent beats the World Cup on Saturday   It passed 1m admissions Yesterday. It looks like Maleficent will see another weekend over $1m!! Even DoFP and EoT are resisting pretty good taking in account the WC, DoFP passed 700k admissions Yesterday.

I don't know about the Dragon. It's not Disney nor Ice Age. The first one was not very successful there. And the Winter Holidays start later than in Brazil. But critics are pretty good, its only competition is the World Cup and the ones who saw the first one liked it. We will see next weekend how it opens.

As expected Sunday was almost dead at the Box Office.

Even though Maleficent fell 52% because only 20k admissions were sold on Sunday (Argentina´s first WC match) and Thursday was the worst Thursday for 2014 thanks to the WC Opening Ceremony, this weekend was not bad at all. Maleficent did on its third weekend 35% better than The LEGO Movie OW and 45% better than Mr. Peabody & Sherman OW.

By the way,the argentinean peso is devaluating quite sharply since we know the country could default,not good for the numbers in dollars..And of course with a default the number of admissions would probably collapse.
