In 2011 Rio sold 1.65 m tickets. Yesterday was a wierd day due to the general strike. We have to wait a little bit to see how high can Rio 2 fly...

Good hold for Noah entering its second weekend (-43%) even though the critics and word of mouth are horrible

Iron Man 2 is mediocre,good news.The Avengers 2 could be huge here,particularly if the exchange rate improves.

Awesome Saturday for Rio 2!! It sold 125k tickets!!! It should become the second best weekend for 2014 not far from Frozen's opening weekend!!!

 

TWS passed IM2 and now stands at 645652 admissions, on the third position for 2014. Thor 2 should fall next weekend thanks to the Easter holiday help.

 

Noah keeps doing pretty good despite the critics (It´s on the 6th place at the worst movies for 2014's list http://www.cinesargentinos.com.ar/ranking/calificadas/2014/) It stands on the second spot this weekend with 83365 admissions (Total 423265 adm.) Argentina is a very catholic country, The Passion of the Christ did very good there. Remember that the new Pope is argentinean.

Chile: 

 

Rio 2 is doing very good, 402344 admissions after 2 weekends. Cap 2 is about to reach 300k admissions after falling only 20% last weekend. Noah is doing good too 273k admissions total. 

 

 

 

Bolivia 2014 admissions:

 

1- Frozen, 100353

2- Cap 2, 79981 (only 20% less than Frozen)

3- Rio 2, 69723 (in 2 weekends but it fell 44% last weekend)

4- 300:RoaE, 63835

5- Noah, 50151 (increasing 2% last weekend)

 

 

 

Uruguay: 

 

Rio 2 is going to pass Frozen before next weekend. It fell only 2% last weekend. Good opening for TASM with around 20k admissions (Second OD for 2014). Cap 2 and Noah 31k admissions each.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 arrives this Thursday!!

 

The previous films were very successful. Exchange rate and admission prices played an important part making TASM champion in U$S but non of them sold as many tickets as the first one back in 2002:

Last weekend TASM2 opened in the neighbor market, Uruguay, and it almost doubled TASM. That's a good sing! Let's see what happens this weekend in Argentina
