DoFP 52k admissions on Friday 35% increase. 90k admissions in 2 days, around $0.55m. Almost 50% better than Godzilla. On par with Cap2. Better than TASM2.

Good increase on Saturday for DoFP, 84k admissions. It's definitely going to open better than TASM2, Noah and RoaE. $1.5 looks like the target. Pretty good! Even better taking in account that First Class did $2.1m on its entire run.Godzilla is dropping 54%, Rio 2 only 34% and Spidey 60%

Oh, so Maleficent and Edge of Tomorrow are opening head to head. Interesting. Henry, do you think X-Men will hold up well with competitions like that?

I think DoFP will drop around 50%. Maybe less because WOM is very good, even better than Cap2, 8.9/10 on cinesargentinos.comMaleficent should do pretty good. Disney movies are very popular there. But I don't think Edge of Tomorrow will do good. Oblivion did horrible and Lost Protocol did less than John Carter

Edge of Tomorrow 53953 admissions in 3 days.

Great OW for Maleficent, only 5% less admissions than Frozen's OW!!! It looks like we have the 3rd 1m+ admissions movie for 2014!!  :bravo:

Good hold for X-Men:DoFP

EoT didn't impress

Godzilla keeps free falling. It won't reach 500k adm.

Rio 2 sold 36035 tickets last weekend (Cume: 1629909 admissions as of Sunday). It needs only 20k adm more to pass the first Rio.

TASM 2 fell 71% and it's almost done. Cume: 768366 adm. far far away from TASM 1.19m adm

Thursday Top 5:

1- Maleficent, 25362 admissions, -16%. Cume: 472335 adm

2- DoFP, 8970 adm, -42%. Cume: 550729 adm

3- A Million Ways to Die in the West, 6174 adm, new.

4- Blended, 4996 adm, new

5- Edge of Tomorrow, 4337 adm, -44%. Cume: 105738 adm.

Easing only 16% from last Thursday OD, Maleficent is easily going to lead the last weekend before the World Cup. It did more than the sum of the other 4 movies on the Top 5.

DoFP is showing so much better legs than TASM2 and TWS but it will be hurt badly next weekend with the beginning of the WC.

As expected the new entries didn't impress.

Excellent for Maleficent. Shame the World Cup will eat into it.

Where do you See it ending?

1m admissions is more than locked and that's $6m but ahead comes a tough competition, next weekend the World Cup and on the 19th HTTYD2. In spite of that I see it doing really good, 1.5m admissions is possible, even more too. It's just the kind of movie people like there. They love Disney.
