Space Jam: A New Legacy | July 16 2021 | WB | Malcolm D. Lee to direct, Ryan Coogler producing. Lebron James to star

It strikes mas as odd that they filmed this two years out. With principal photography taking place during NBA off-season this past summer, this should have been primed for release this summer or fall. NBA landscape may look quite different in the summer of 2021 compared to when they filmed.

It's likely to fit it into LeBron's schedule but also the post production will take some time. It wouldn't be the first time that shoots two years before release nor will it be the last.

Given that this movie will feature a lot of hand-drawn 2D animation, it makes sense that they would want to give it as much post-production time as possible.

:Edit: I believe the Tom and Jerry movie WB has coming out in December was filmed back in the Summer of last year and that doesn't even have a cast of potentially dozens of hand-drawn characters.

Any confirmation that this will have Carrey as Mask, Skarsgard as Pennywise, Phoenix as Joker, and Fiennes as Voldemort?

Dont know about the others but Phoenix definitely isn't coming for this shit.

This is starting to sound like WB’s answer to Ralph Breaks the Internet, which is kind of lame. I can only hope that there’ll at least be more hand-biting humor in this case, since WB is generally less obsessed with maintaining a squeaky clean image compared to Disney.

So saw some potential set pic leaks that could change the film's boxoffice potential for the better.

So instead of just having Looney Tunes characters in this, they also have characters from other WB properties. Set pics showed Joker, The Mask, and Pennywise.

    Spoiler

All of them will be CGI? Can they get Skarsgard, Hamill, Carrey and Fiennes to at least do the voice work?

No. They won't all be CGI. At least, not fully.

    Spoiler

I've seen those leaked photos too, and if they're real then at the very least the Joker and Pennywise are definitely being played by live action performers.
