CoolioD1
What Val Kilmer is up too ? Waiting for that elusive Top Gun sequel ? No one's had the heart to tell him that they made some batman movies without him. he's still sitting by the phone waiting for Joel Schumacher to call.
mahnamahna
Haha I just wouldn't expect it - both seem to be more genre/character actors. Gives me hope that Bill Paxton and Jeff Goldblum may win the big one someday lol Michael Keaton Ben Affleck Benedict Cumberbauch David Oylewto Steve Carell Only confident in 3 of those... the other 2 are just me spitballing.
Halba
michael keaton benedict cumberbatch David Oylewo matthew mcconaughey jack o connell others: bradley cooper, jake gyllenhaal Edited October 17, 2014 by Halba
mahnamahna
michael keaton benedict cumberbatch David Oylewo matthew mcconaughey jack o connell others: bradley cooper, jake gyllenhaal I could see McConaughey love getting him a Best Actor nod for Interstellar if it's well-received (90%+ on RT, etc) similar to Sandra Bullock's nod for Gravity. Really Michael Keaton seems like the only actual lock at this point. Cumberbauch and Oylewo seem likely, but things could change. 4th and 5th are pretty fluid at this point.
Halba
Put Mcconnaughey on the list for Best Actor. ala Bullock for best actress gravity. Early twitter reviews he is freakin amazing and the movie is f***ing mind blowing. list is gonna be Mcconaughey Keaton Cumberbatch David Oyelowo JAck O Connell Other possible: Bradley Cooper Edited October 18, 2014 by Halba

ban1o
Isn't Redmayne very likely to be nominated?

Impact
Again I really wish people start putting the film title for the actors
Kvikk Lunsj
Cumberbauch is very good in the Imitation Game. My prediction Cumberbauch-Imitation Game Michael Keaton- Bird Man Steve Carrel- Foxcatcher Eddie Radmayne- Theory of Everything David Oyelowo- Selma
CloneWars
Keaton probably wins this simply because of how Birdman is sort of a meta-homage to Keaton's rise and fall from stardom.
Jake Gittes
Keaton, Cumberbatch, Carell, Redmayne, O'Connell. Gonna be between the first two I think.
Ezen Baklattan
Does Jake Ghyllenhaal stand a chance here? He's getting some big buzz all of the sudden.
CoolioD1
Does Jake Ghyllenhaal stand a chance here? He's getting some big buzz all of the sudden. Maybe. The critics awards would really have to go to bat for him
lilmac
I think Keaton will get nominated. I haven't seen Birdman but WOM, fans, and hype almost dictate that it happens.
The Panda
I think Keaton will get nominated. I haven't seen Birdman but WOM, fans, and hype almost dictate that it happens. After seeing Birdman, Keaton should win. I mean it's possible somebody pulls a better performance this year, but it's easily the best male performance this year.

I give him 95% certainty of winning at this point after watching Birdman. I honestly can't see how he doesn't win. Jake Gittes
I give Keaton the edge but we shouldn't underestimate Cumberbatch's dark Weinstein powers. They'll probably both win at the Globes (comedy and drama respectively) so it'll be a race to the end.
