The Futurist
So 3rd year in a row for a nominee for Cooper? It s possible, the role seems meaty on paper plus he gained a lot of pounds for this but the category is stacked so he could miss, we ll see, American Sniper will be released very late in the game so we ll have to,wait. Impact
Maybe the guy from Unbroken.
The Futurist
Maybe the guy from Unbroken. And the guy from Selma playing MLK who cries during screening for the film because he felt a connection with Mr King. That s campaigning like a pro. Leyla
ugh Cucumber will totally wn Can see Carell being a victim of some category "mischief" but like I said: Keaton, Cumberbatch and Redmayne all seem like pretty good bets. would be lulzy if Tatum gets in instead (if they insist on campaigning him lead) Edited October 8, 2014 by Tauriel
Halba
these are my nominees picks. disagree with redmayne, the movie looks average, it wont get much oscar noms for any categories totally overhyped on these boards and everywhere. just check out my Avatar- High rt scores, for which theory of everything getting only good but not great reviews! better movies have much better chances. disagree with steve carell- he wont even get a look in. 1. Michael keaton (birdman) 2. bradley cooper (american sniper) 3. benedict cumberbatch(imitation game)***winner 4. jack o connell (unbroken) 5. david oyelowo (selma) other optionals: 6. brad pitt (fury) 7. christoph waltz (big eyes) Edited October 8, 2014 by Halba
CoolioD1
Bradley Cooper Benedict Cumberbatch Michael Keaton David Oyelowo Eddie Redmayne I actually agree with Halba that I wouldn't be surprised at Carrell not happening despite some great reviews.

Empire
Batman got this. Which one? Affleck, Bale, or Keaton.
Halba
removed brad pitt fury because its a bomb. dont think affleck will get a nomination for gone girl. this is because a lot of the contenders are from films that havent even been seen. so we can nominate affleck yet until we see others.
