Did Deadpool 1 open on a Wed as well?

Someone can correct me cause I'm using google for this but I looked it up and it says it was released on February 11th so that would be a Thursday (since the US release was Friday the 12th)

No Thu, DP hold record biggest OD/OWe  in Feb (OD #2 FSOG, #3 BP, OWe #2 BP, #3 FSOG)

DP also #5 all time SH movie, #1 MA15+ rated movie (next down from R rating)

AIW is now #5 all time (#6 TA), it should end up #3 all time (#4 if you add Titanic+Titanic 3D together)

Only 1 film from the 80’s or earlier on the list.

Crocodile Dundee, holding the fort.

Only three Australian films in the top 50. Why do Australians seem to hate Australian movies so much

How did the wedding impact the Saturday evening box office?

These are pretty big numbers. Up to around 5 million across all channels.  More then the AFL GF, NRL GF or State of Origin.

here is all-time list in AUD, as of Feb 2018

AIW is #3 now ,and Jumanji pushed ROTK out of top10 earlier.

Croc Dundee was in the top 10 for 30 years, looks like it was pushed out by Finding Dory, if I'm counting right. Titanic still hanging in there in the top 5 after almost 21 years. Will Titanic make it longer than Dundee?

It will be close. We’ve got MCU films, Star Wars films, Avatar films and possibly a few out of the blue films in the next 9 years.

We might just get 5 films out of that bunch that could beat Titanic.

That’s a very good sign. I think DP1 Saturday was unexpectedly big so almost matching it and with huge numbers watching the wedding is fantastic.

Sunday will be down more as it was Valentines for DP1 and as we all know DP1 was the perfect Valentines film.

Interesting potential your country's entertainment-population ratio is seemingly capeable of.

Haven't seen DP1 nor DP2 - I am guessing you are joking?
