Australian Box Office | ....

Last update! This list represents the twelve tumultuous months of the post-reopening back in July 2020. Somewhere in these numbers are the effects of the many lockdowns and restrictions imposed in that time, from Melbourne's marathon lockdown 2.0 to Sydney's sparkling confinement and all manner of silliness between. And yet despite all that it's actually a pretty respectable list in box office terms. Indeed the top 50's 358.6m is more than calendar year 2020's 328m.

Reading Cinema A$62K pre-sales for WED on 18 locs.

HOYTS A$155k on 8 locs. Estimating 20 remaining, probably around will make HOYTS A$300K from 28.

Based on these two can estimate the other

Event - 350
HOYTS - 300
Village - 175

Reading - 62

This will normally account for A$1.25M pre-sales. Say 1.5-1.6x PSm, A$1.9-2M previews probably, with 33% box office missing. CM had A$1.5M previews before A$13.6M weekend, but that was in March. Weekend growth may be limited now.

Expecting optimistically

1.9
2.5
3
4.75 (NSW opens)

AUS reported just $1.7M through THU. Something wrong with it, may be it is just THU and not including previews.

But then I guess A$4M without NSW was too big to be true. So may be only theaters I checked, HOYTS and Reading did well.🤷‍♂️

You can have the next does at 8 weeks. It's authorised by the TGA. Obviously discuss with your GP

Still thinking about whether to do this, it would be nice to be fully vaxed a month early, but I'd still prefer the protection from the full 12 weeks. Might split the difference and do it at ten.

Nobody knew there was a series.

EDIT: Actually wasn't even on TV here. First time since 1994.

By law national cricket team matches have to be offered first to free to air TV, if they don't want it then payTV can get the rights. Nobody wanted the rights.
