@DeeCee the tickets for Indian films were reduced from $18-20 to $12-15 in HOYTS chain in 2017. Was that also for Hollywood films or Indian films only.

A lot of HOYTS locations dropped all prices to $12. Ticket prices were just too excessive at one point.

So that would be affecting the gross as well. It sure did for Punjabi films. Back in 2016, a film opened to $406k but now even the one which did best in last 3 years is $353k, last weekend.

Is it impacting admissions though? Have we seen an increase in admissions but decrease in $$?

That's my question because Indian films number were reducing a bit from then and now they are slowly reaching that level again.

That makes Padmaavat even more impressive 😛

I don’t know much about pricing but I’ve seen several Bollywood films get released in 4 or 5 languages.

Bollywood films are Hindi, e.g. Dangal. SRK is actor of Bollywood

Tollywood films are Telugu. e.g. Baahubali 2

Kollywood films are Tamil e.g. 2.0

Pollywood films are Punjabi.

Your are right. I search some Southern Star film ,and they figure all are not complete. Do you know why?

South Indian films don't have proper box office reporting system. Situation is better now.

The distributor get only 40% of the box office gross if it is reported to MPDAA, while on the unreported gross share is 50-70%.
