Gee ummm is it just me or is that a very weak Boxing Day ..... I'm not sure whether that is good or bad for TROS. a fairly hefty drop but it looks better than TLJ (though that is a tuesday boxing day and not a thursday ... )  i have no idea of what to make of it..

still should be a strong overall figure over the next week or so..... 8 - 10m 2nd weekend ? running should total should be around 35m i think by now.. (it's monday morning here.. )

Thinking a final around 50m at the moment for TROS unless it starts to have some epic drops.

Frozen remains on track for a total very near to 40m at the moment but it's in a will it or won't it dance i think... def thinking 35m+ (should have crossed 30m by the end of the weekend.)

As for Jumanji The next level ~ very hard to compare with Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle.  Jungle opened on a Tuesday (thanks to boxing day falling on a tuesday).  though it is interesting that the next level opened to 1m bigger than Jungle.  Of course Jungle went on to make a 9.2m OW ( ~ 16m running total inc the first 2 days) and a total just under 50m.  a 4m OD should equate to around 12m OW i think, possibly higher if the weekend plays out differently due to being holidays.  is that enough for it to match Jungles total... not sure yet however that opening should be good for 40m+ as a minimum.  not a lot of competition for it bar what is already in the marketplace (only direct competition is Dolittle and that's not until the 16th Jan once again excluding whats already released - unless we want to count Shaun the Sheep as true competition that is ;) )

I’d think an OW for Jumanji should see a total well north of 40m (prob close to jungles total). Star Wars tracking for a 50m total also (could close between these 2 here). Frozen 2 looks like a total very near 40m might happen.

Wow. Big drops. At this rate SW9 heading for around 48m. Jumanji TNL low 40s.

Jumanji TNL continuing it's strong run here with a running total of > 32m while SW9 finally crossed 40m, 50m is looking a little shakey at this point in it's run.  Frozen 2 has passed 35m also now and has an outside shot of 30m though still thinking a finish around 38m is more likely at this stage.  Unless 1917 explodes (which isn't out of the realms of possibility i might add, i think Jumanji should 3-peat in the top spot before Dolittle / Bad boys duo steal it's thunder a week later.

Ok so SW9 should land in third place for 2019 when all is done and dusted. (a bit lower than i imagine Disney would have thought a few years back).  Disney now owns the top 5 films of 2019 also.  In fact there is only 3 films not released by Disney in the top 10!  And 1 of those 3 is part of the shared universe that disney owns.

Frozen 2 will likely stay in 8th (though should pass Spider-man).  Jumanji TNL should have enough in the tank to pass both films and should threaten a top 5 finish of 2019 (there a good chance that Jumanji goes close to surpasses SW9's final as both are trajectories close to 50m at the moment.
