Update with just under 7 days till the first session at 8am.  George St now has 54 sessions from 8am through to the last start at 12:40am early Thursday morning.

VMAX (Large format screens with Dolby ATMOS. Standard adult ticket is AUD28.00)

-9 sessions:2900 out of 3497 seats sold (83% sold. Half of the available seats are from the newly added 12:40am session.  The 6pm VMAX is effectively sold out as only 5 x wheelchair seats remain)

4DX (Standard adult ticket is AUD31.00)

-4 sessions:512 out of 512 seats sold (100% SOLD OUT)

Gold Class (Recliner seats with food and drink service during the film. 38-56 seat theatres. Standard ticket for everyone is AUD42.00)

-18 sessions:777 out of 800 seats sold. (97% sold.  15 sold out.  The newly added 12:30am has 21 seats available.  2 other sessions have 1 seat each available.)

The 806 seat theatre has 5 sessions:867 out of 4030 seats sold (21.5%).

The sessions above currently have a total capacity on opening day of 8839 seats.

That still leaves another 18 standard sessions in various other theatres.  I might try and work them out later.

@JJ-8 Event Chermside has CM getting back 4 x VMAX sessions per day for the next 6 days.

https://www.eventcinemas.com.au/Cinema/Chermside#date=2019-04-18

I assume it had 1 or 2 at best this week.

just looking, it's on 4 x VMAX, 2 x Gold Class and 1 x normal - pretty much only playing on a premium format.... :bouncy:

Just looking at Avengers endgame - i see it opens on the 24th here ?  (a day earlier than expected).  Also noticing that the first sessions are 8am on wed (exclude thursday because nothing starts before 2pm), fri, sat and sunday. last sessions on thursday, friday and saturday start at 11pm too... so pretty much playing all day (been a while since i've seen sessions that early and late)

In a lot of states its 730-8am starts on 25th. Also note that the Hoyts Circuit is doing an AEG only weekend/week at a lot of sites. Thats right you will only be able to see  Avengers all screens taken up (even in country areas) and if not there might be a couple screens for other movies (its more at biggest complexes like 12+ screens, even then some have it playing in 12+ screens ) @DeeCee

A slightly different update this time.  This is just the VMAX sessions at Event George St.  There's basically 8 sessions per day for the first 5 days all at exactly the same time each day with 2 exceptions.  There's a 12:40am late session on the opening day and the 6pm session on the Friday is missing.  I'm going to leave out the the 12:40am (It was added late and still has 253 seats available) and assume the 6pm session on Friday is a booking of the whole theatre showing Endgame.

This is basically showing the level of VMAX sales over the first 5 days.  Capacity is 3132.

Date-#sold-%sold

24th-2934-93.7%

25th-1837-58.7%

26th-1422-45.4%

27th-774-24.7%

28th-412-13.2%
