However I don't see other animation over it (SiD is way under in its OW, Paw Patrol is a DOA, Playmobil opens 31 Dec but meh), so it will be in play since February, with the hope it will pass 20M€/3M adm, that is almost certain with Disney numbers, much less with those of Cinetel.

Yearly gross is rougly +15%. This number is good in itself but not so good as is driven by Disney's blockbusters (4 movies in top 5 and 7 in top 10 by now and yes, Spiderman FFH would not exist without MCU) that will not be replaced next year, also seeing almost all the other HW's have been very low. Maybe Zalone can save the day if his last work will be a new 60M+

 

2019 by now. (I don't think 30 and especially 31 dailies change much)

Howewer the numbers for the two Disney's showdown are:

Frozen 2 over Frozen 19,41M€+ gross / 2,92M+ admissions (-1,41/-130K)

Why not just bring forward them to Christmas to capitalize further on the year-end holiday season? 

Usually in the week before Christmas are released that kind of movie more Christmas themed or presumed to be so. Tolo Tolo isnt a Christmas themed movie at all, and 1 january is presumed to be a very good kind of release date because holiday period dont end until 7 Jan.

Wednesday 1-1-2020

 

First day of new years and decade is the biggest day ever here. Zalone's Tolo Tolo jump over the high bar with 8,67M€/1,174M Adm in a day, (with the Cinetel+24 tomorrow, could fly at 9M+). It's a +26% vs the OW of Quo Vado (same day of year) and a +5% vs its biggest day (day 3 - 1st Sunday), all of this done with a stronger competition. I think TT is a bit more anticipated (and frontloaded) than QV but this is in any case an another fantastic achievement for the writer/actor (and for the first time director) Luca Medici (the real name of Zalone).

 

The other movies after all do well, except for Playmobil that opens under F2 in week 7 despite its brand is way more know than in USA.

No idea, which countries could even have days that high? Most likely only the big ones, so

UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

 

UK was already answered.

 

I don't exactly know the highest day in Germany, but no OD (24h hours only) in Germny was ever above 620k (Lord of the Rings 3 - 616k) admissions and even with a lot of previews no movie was above 710k (Star Wars III - 706k).

And even considering all days no day ever was above 850k (I think maybe HP1 first Saturday was the highest day ever with something a little below 850k).

 

Regarding Spain I don't think Spain is big enough, considering the highest OWEnd is only 1.6M, so probably no day above 500k.

 

France 850k - Spectre (Don't know if any day during Ch'tis OWend or so was higher).

 

If you include Russia, then no, because Endgame opened with 1.71M admissions (on a Monday).
