Even though all over Europe 2013 was worst than 2012 in Italy the box office was up 1.5% ($840 M)

It's just unbelievable to see such a weak market. France's market, with a similar population (66m in France, 61m in Italy) is 2.5 times bigger than Italy's.

It is in the top 10 markets 

 

No need to be angry, it's only the truth if you take its population and development level into account.

And by the way it is not in the top 10 anymore : USA, China, Japan, UK, France, Germany, India, Russia, South Korea,Brazil and Mexico are ahead.

 apart from rare exceptions, the Italian market produces large numbers only during the christmas and new year holidays (23 december to 6 january)

Increase due to the "miracles" of Sole a catinelle $69,903,094 and Frozen $26,421,884 (Brave $9,388,138 , Wreck-It Ralph $8,874,344, Tangled $14,670,362, The Princess and the Frog $13,157,233 in the past years)

But you can always hope for miracles........

You forgot Australia... But Brazil is not a better market than Italy. Actually Brazil last year's total was $9 M less than the italian one and brazil's population is more than 3 times the italian.
