I don't think SW will finish at the top, IO is set to win this year.

 

As for 2016, a local movie which opens in January is going to do at least $40-50M.

There is really no way for Star Wars to match IO. The prequel trilogy has an average of 9 M Euro.

 

Going +15 (Euro) will already be a very very though thing to do.

 

And there's no way an Italian comedy this December manages to do +25M.

This chart is totally incorrect.

It is based on a site, hitparadeitalia.it, that isn't updated since 2011 and the numbers are only for the first movie of each year. For example in season 1966-67 the first movie is "Il Dottor Zivago", the 2nd is "Il Buono, il Brutto e il Cattivo" but the site don't reports its gross. This movie (The Good, The Bad and The Ugly) is the highest grossing by the director Sergio Leone, and certainly has grossed more than "Per qualche dollaro in più" that the chart put on 10th place.  Other, more important, the adjustment is out of date: "Il Dottor Zivago" is reported at 6B lire and the multiplier 1967-2015 is about 19500, so the adjusted gross could be 60,4Meuro instead of 51,80Meuro. (6.000.000.000*19500/1936,27)
