Since the creator of the game is also the screenwriter of the movie adaptation I have a gut feeling that this will be the first  movie based on a videogame NOT TO SUCK.

You have to be like the worst film maker in the history of films to make a bad movie out of such a brilliant game. They only need to nail the characters, nothing else. They're the strong point of that game.

 

If there is a game I would love to see a movie of more than this one, it's easily To The Moon.

This seems like its going the opposite direction of the Uncharted adaptation which is great news.

Hard to argue with the pedigree of the producer, but... ehhhhhh. As a fan of the game I'm not sure what I'm meant to be excited about. It's already so filmic.

Since this is TV series now I fear they will remake shot for shot almost all of the cutscenes. I think a movie that wouldn't have had the time to include every interaction and minor character of the game would be way more exciting.
