For animated movies, you either go big or you go home with budgets.

People HATE cheap looking animated movies like Norm of the North.

Illumination uses budgets under $80M, and people flock to see those.

80m is still a lot of money, just more middle of the road.

It's just that Disney and Pixar spend too much on their movies.

Zootopia and Moana wouldn't look as amazing as they do without $150m+ budgets. I can't say they're spending "too much".

Quick question about the orgy...I know you guys said

it was close to the end. Anyone know how close exactly? Like maybe the scene before?

That's the one part of the movie I'm not sure I'm ready to get behind.

Before the final fight.

@Tele the Jet Baller Sorry, I had seen it discussed without a spoiler tag and thought that it was alright to discuss because of the leaked script. My bad.

Edit: Disregard this. I've never done a spoiler thing so I'm testing to see if it works.

Hi, I'm Parker and I love to party.

No. :) I tagged the other post before yours as well. FYI, if a script leaks, *any* specifics are still considered spoilers. There's a lot of people who choose not to read a script, leaked or otherwise.

Other studios like Illumination and Sony are proving that you can make animated hits with half those budgets.

Whatever causes Disney films to be expensive as they are, I certainly prefer their visuals to Illumination or Sony's
