The Panda
it will be Gravity situation all over again Gravity and Life of Pi deserved their wins. Hugo and Benjamin Button are two I'd say didn't.
Ethan Hunt
Gravity and Life of Pi deserved their wins. Hugo and Benjamin Button are two I'd say didn't. Hugo definitely didn't.
CoolioD1
Gravity and Life of Pi deserved their wins. Hugo and Benjamin Button are two I'd say didn't. Benjamin Button definitely deserved it's award. My hate of the film is well documented here but the effects work on Pitt is top notch. Wasn't the strongest year either.
ShouldIBeHere
The praise for the visuals should be strong enough to secure this for Interstellar.
AniNate
Apes may still have a prayer here, seeing as it got the best reviews of the contenders.
darkelf
I'd be okay with either Apes or Interstellar winning. Apes had the best motion capture ever and Interstellar had best space ever so it's kind of a toss-up for me.
The Futurist
After seeing Interstellar, I d say Apes have a shot this year.

redfirebird2008
I absolutely loved the VFX in Apes 2, but Interstellar deserves to win.
Halba
just saw interstellar and have to agree, it has this category locked. there were some fantastic perilous action sequences that rivalled and surpassed gravity at times. Kvikk Lunsj
I think Apes could win this it has a better critic reception.
ShouldIBeHere
I think Interstellar will win, but would be happily surprised if Apes makes it. Edited November 10, 2014 by ShouldIBeHere
Breakspear
I'd be okay with either Apes or Interstellar winning. Apes had the best motion capture ever and Interstellar had best space ever so it's kind of a toss-up for me. What about Guardians for combining both of them Actually like Life of Pi they didn't use motion capture for Rocket and Groot, only stand ins so had to fully animate their movements, which is impressive I wonder what's more difficult, Space shots or these fully animated animals. Breakspear
The space shots were sets. Interstellar had no green screens in it. I was also referring to Guardians which had green screen space shots. Also for Interstellar they surely created Space shots and then had them projected.
eXtacy
Still think Guardians of the Galaxy was the prettiest film this year
The Panda
Interstellar deserves the win, a couple of those sequences are mindblowingly beautiful. The award isn't best CGI, it's visual effects.
Blankments
Interstellar's winning Although I'd lol if it missed a BP nom and somehow Birdman got nominated here and won
dashrendar44
Interstellar deserves the win, a couple of those sequences are mindblowingly beautiful. The award isn't best CGI, it's visual effects. Except the mind-blowing sequences are CG-ladden.(the wormhole, Gargantua, the giant wave, the 5th dimension visualization)
