October 9th is one week before St. James' Place (or untitled Spielberg cold war thriller), this movie better hope that is really really good, else legs will suffer thanks to Spielberg's awards season movie with Tom Hanks.

It's written by Sorkin, directed by Boyle, and starring Fassbender. Regardless of the behind the scenes turmoil that led to the new team, that's still an incredible team.

I'm surprised it's being released as early as October considering they've only started shooting, I guess it's probably not a hard film to shoot, edit and be released in a few months and at the same time.

I wouldn't be surprised if St James Place starts getting buzz, Universal moves Steve Jobs to limited release in December before a wide release in January but given how packed December is, they might just opted for January wide release. Perhaps January 1st or January 15th but Universal already has Ride Along 2 on the latter date unless they move Ride Along 2 to a different date.

Despite Spielberg and Hanks I don't think St. James Place will be another Private Ryan for them. Cold War movies are nearly box office poison.

Hanks had a hit with Captain Phillips despite Gravity dominating so I wouldn't rule a similar run with St James Place if it's good.

Yeah. I think they are making an actual movie around it though, I don't think it's just 2 hours of staring at those three pictures.
