Olive
On Wednesday it crossed $400 million at the international box office and, with more than $203 million domestically, it's over $600 million worldwide. That's without the benefit of this weekend's opening in Japan, where “Maleficent” is expected to end the 16-week No. 1 run of another Disney hit, “Frozen.”

alee7915
Maleficent took 3.5M/$0.56M in China on Wednesday. Total : 250M yuan/$40.32M If Maleficent keep taking at least 3.5M yuan/$0.56M everday for another 9 days, it will reach $45M Edited July 3, 2014 by A K A
Ajbg
Boxofficemojo has it at 392,4 million in July, 01. Then it made 3,1 million a day monday and tuesday. It'll not have 400 million overseas today.. Nomally a movie makes 15% of the last weekend a day in weekdays. 45% of 18 million gives 8,1 million. It'll do a little more this week. Dingdong123
Those seem to be great China numbers despite the massive TF4. Now let's see what Japan brings. I forgot that the Maleficent trailer is attached to Frozen, so that can be a great and very big exposure for the movie there.

23IsEverywhere
Based on those stats can you make a guess as to where the weekend might be headed? My guess would be $7-8M for the 2 day OW (My exact extrapolation number was $7.58M) Following Alice $72.21M Following Oz $49.42M Following SWatH $41.49M I'd guess about $60M Edited July 4, 2014 by 23IsEverywhere

keysersoze123
How on earth can we extrapolate box office based on seats. Are there any pre-sales data that is showing such a huge OW. Even Frozen opened to just 7.6M.
