Thank you very much. So based on the release schedule, no chance of this vying for one of the all time openings WW. Call me crazy, but if it had a release with everything opening on one weekend (with some exceptions), I think this could have a shot at one of the best all time WW openings. Guess not though.

I'm not so sure. Asia doesn't seem to be a hotbed for insane grosses for Batman. It's weird since Asia is known for big openings for superhero movies and yet The Dark Knight had only below average-okay results in most Asian territories.

Yeah, I don't expect records in Asia.I think North America and Latin America will be the main territory for it..I could say Europe few months ago but I'm pessimistic now because of the economic crisis and Olympic Games.I just want $600M OS for TDKR, I would be satisfied with this, it will be easy I think. I'd say Dark Knight did fairly well in Asia except in Japan

Really? Let's recap:South Korea - 25.0m - GOODJapan - 14.5m - BADHong Kong - 7.5m - GREATTaiwan - 6.4m - GOODIndia - 3.65m - BADSingapore - 3.63m - OKPhilippines - 3.2m - OKIndonesia - 2.7m - OKMalaysia - 2.66m - BELOW AVERAGEThailand - 2.63m - OKUAE - 2.54m - GREATIsrael - 2.52m - GREATLebanon - 383k - BADMy thoughts are in caps. Which territories did you think did well?It didn't break out in South East Asia. China regions did very well. Mixed bag in the 2 big territories. India not good. UAE/Israel did well. Lebanon was poor.Although several places grossed a lot, Asia didn't really break out as a collective unit. Until Batman gets superstar status in those Asian territories where it didn't do as well, any Batman film (let alone TDKR) won't have any shot at coming close to breaking the all time WW record.

I never said it was huge in Asia I said it did fairly well. Which means it did all right. It's nit just "huge numbers" or "flop"

So you agree with me then that it didn't breakout in Asia. I said that most places in Asia were just OK or below average.
