Of course on the flipside, I don't know how this Barbie movie can top the Barbie and Ken in Toy Story 3. Jodi Benson and Michael Keaton rocked in those roles

I really love this development. Instead of treating barbie as disposable barely passable entertainment like Smurfs, that everyone expected, they are going with high profile cast&crew cause they want a quality franchise. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Last time I checked it was scheduled for May 8th 2020, but I can't see them making that date if they're only in the screenwriting phase now, so probably the latter.

Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper was in constant circulation in my house around 2004/05 due to my sister's obsession with it. Somehow I managed to avoid the rest of them.

Masters needed to be some trippy, Mad Max shit. The entire "lore" of that series was made by toy executives on the spot trying to get funding secured, so making it a straight-forward fantasy series won't work at all.
