Tenet was the last "typical Nolan" film he's put out since Interstellar and it was released during the pandemic+widely regarded as his worst film, so it's pretty understandable. I don't think the Nolan fanbase really craves an Oppenheimer biopic or anything.

Conversation I just had with my wife - we were watching random videos on Youtube when the Aqua song came up and i said "They won't use this in the movie apparently", and she went "Why are they even making a Barbie movie, feels like a waste"

 

I responded "Could be good, they have the director and writer of Lady Bird and Little Women", and my wife literally shouted "Wait, GRETA GERWIG IS DIRECTING??? We need to watch it opening weekend". I was just surprised she knew Gerwig by name (though she stumbled once almost saying Greta Thunberg)

I see both making bank relative to their genres. Oppenheimer opens to 30-35 mil and Barbie to 50 mil.

A teaser in time for Puss in Boots and Babylon would make a ton of sense given the family and/or Robbie overlap it has with those movies.
