49% drop for Thor. Not too bad, all things considered. It lost all its premium screens to JL.

I was just looking at its total gross here and wondering how it's done against Civil War. Ragnarok is now at $5.86M while Civil War topped out at about $4.87M, so that's pretty amazing. The Taika Effect!

I don't have it in local currency, but the chart in USD is on BOM. Thor should have jumped past DM3 this weekend. It has a good shot of passing BatB, if I've run my math right.

 

Edit: Actually, I'd say it's almost locked to pass BatB. It's only 580k away, off a 438k weekend. I've got it ending around 7M.

That being said, it is gonna end at a lower total than Boy and Wilderpeople. Weak!

Probably because it didn’t catch the older demographic as his other films. And doesn’t have a NZ centric story.
