Only by 0.03m though. And Black Panther is actually ahead when counting Wednesday, albeit only by 0.02M. Really great opening.

Black Panther and Ragnarok are neck-and-neck at the moment; after the third weekend Ragnarok's cume was $5.21M and Black Panther's now at $5.15M. It's already the 6th highest earner in the MCU and will be passing Vol 2 next with $5.38M as per @aabattery's list on page 12. Ragnarok ended up the second highest behind The Avengers, so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out here, although BP obviously won't have Star Wars to compete with like Ragnarok did later on, so maybe that'll boost it past Thor.

Worth noting that Thor's third weekend was about 100k ahead of BP's. I don't think it'll be able to reach 7M like T:R but should get close to IM3 and AOU.
